Some Questions to Ponder

What is truth?  What do we think is the truth?  Do we believe that what we argue about is all about truth?  Or is our position based on our perception of what is true?  What do we really know about truth?  What is the basis of truth?  Is truth based on some set of rules or values?  If that is the case, who created those rules and values?  Did man create them?   If man created those rules are they really based on truths?

Is it possible that our Creator is the one who defined those rules?  That would seem logical if you believed that we have a Creator?  Is it logical to think that we have a Creator?  Based on the premise that there is a Supreme Being, God, who created everything in our world, is it also logical that He defines truth?  With every truth it would seem that there are rules to support that truth.  Are those rules intended to be punitive or to actually guide us to the truth and a better life?

It would seem that the current status of our culture and world is one of chaos.  Might it be because our world has deviated from “the truth” and the people of this world want to apply their own rules, overriding the Creator’s rules?  Might it be that anger, frustrations and drama seem to be the mode of communicating one’s perception of how the rules should be interpreted and applied?  Would it make sense, and make life less stressful if we studied the Creator’s rules to lead us to the real truth?

Is it our experience that when we love first that communication is more effective and productive?  In fact, when we love, might we be creating a more harmonizing community?  If that is the case, then does that mean we should love our adversaries who think differently than we do?  If that is true then should we always think about love first?

Wait a minute!  Is it possible that all truth is foundationally based on real love?  Then I might self-evaluate and think, “How do I love?”  I might also think, “I need to get better at loving and respecting all others for the good of all others including myself.”

Hmmm!  A lot of questions but when I ponder these questions is there anything here that helps me true up to the real truth and to Shine Like the Son?

It bogles my mind that it is so easy for people to believe in Socrates, who was born before Jesus. However, when it comes to Jesus, people doubt. Socrates believed that you first had to break a person's spirit in order to make them, stronger, better. However, Jesus says that all of us are saved by just having faith the size of a mustard seed. Jesus saves why is that so hard to believe is the truth.
